Predoiu said the financial problems in the legal sector are well known, adding that the Executive has to find a rapid solution to solve the courts’ problems.
A long-term solution, such as the unitary pay law, has to be found for the wage problem.
“I am aware of the fact that we have problems, but that doesn’t mean we have to abandon projects of strategic importance. (…) The Executive and the entire political scene generally have to focus on supporting measures that ensure the normal functioning of the judiciary, especially the logistics. The legal sector has to make an effort to understand that the wage issue can be resolved only by a unitary pay law for the entire state-budget sector,” Predoiu said.
“I hope that after the conflict is solved we’ll end the interruption in the courthouse activities and we’ll come back to normal,” he added.
Predoiu said this situation is not affecting the magistrates only, as it can turn against the system on the long term.
He added a political solution has to be found concerning the structure of the wages in the sector.
