Romanian Justice Ministry On Schedule With Reforms - Minister
Romanian justice minister Catalin Predoiu said Tuesday in his hearing before the Senate’s commission for legal matters that the ministry is on schedule as regards EC required reforms.

“After completing objectives such as the draft codes, keeping the anticorruption legislative framework stable and receiving a good review in 2008, we are now making an effort to maintain a system plagued by financial privations and lack of human resources,” the minister said.
Predoiu criticized the High Council of Magistrates (CSM) for its “propagandistic” act of notifying the Constitutional Court of a conflict between the judicial and executive powers.
The justice minister said a change in the mentality of magistrates is required and he expects politicians to try and “update legislation.”
