The draft law allowing the Executive to issue decrees during the Parliament's recess was adopted by the Chamber after social democrat lawmakers left the meeting displeased with the fact the issue of changing the membership of certain parliament commissions was not on the Chamber's work agenda.
Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase said, after social democrat lawmakers left the meeting, there number of deputies present at the meeting is enough to continue the session and cast a vote on the draft law.
On January 6, Romania's Senate adopted with 60 to ten votes and one abstention the draft law regulating government's ability to issue decrees during the Parliament's recess.
