Vadim Tudor, senator and leader of Romania’s far-right Greater Romania Party (PRM), is the head of the Romanian – Italian Friendship Committee.
Vadim Tudor is also notorious for his deliberate politically incorrect rhetoric, mostly targeting minorities.
Lawmakers decided to send a commission to Italy to take note of the aspects of the recent turmoil between Romania and Italy sparked by an ever-soaring number of media reports of Romanian immigrants committing crimes.
Italy last week issued a law allowing prefects to deport EU citizens considered a threat to public safety.
