The Romanian leu closed down against the European currency on Thursday, amid low traded volumes, and mirroring emerging markets, dealers said.

The leu closed at 3.55 against the euro, down from 3.485/3.4885 on Friday, the previous trading session, and 3.4910/4925 at Thursday’s open.

The leu touched a day’s low at 3.55 at closing, and a day’s high at 3.4910/3.4925.

On the money market, overnight rates were at 7.36%/8.08% on the year.
