Romanian Leu Tumbles to 4.7569 Units Vs Euro After Week of Losses

The Romanian leu hit a new low of 4.7569 units against the euro Wednesday, losing 0.91% on the day, after seven consecutive days of hitting low after low.

This is the biggest slump for the Romanian leu since it started on a downward path two weeks ago.

On Monday, the central bank rolled over its one-week deposit-taking auction, draining RON4.29 billion from 20 banks.
