Romanian MEPs Withdraw From Center-Right Party ITS, Cause It To Dissolve

After the five MEPs decided to back off, the ITS group led by French official Bruno Gollnisch, remained with only 18 members, even though it needs 20 to be officially recognized as a political group within the European Parliament.
           
The announcement was received with great joy by most MEPs. The Romanian MEPs decided to withdraw from ITS not only because of the anti-Romanian statements made by Mussolini’s niece, but also because they received fewer positions than initially promised.
