According to the 2009 state budget draft obtained by MEDIAFAX, for normal working conditions, the government set the social insurance contribution at 31.3% of the employee’s gross monthly income, of which 10.5% is paid by the employees and 20.8 % by the employer.
The contribution for uncommon working conditions (high degree of risk) was set for this year at 36.3%, of which the employee pays 10.5% and the employer 25.8%, while for special working conditions (mining, exposure to radiation, civil aviation), contributions were set at 41.3%, of which 10.5% for employees and 30.8% for employers.
Until now, social insurance contributions represented 9.5%, regardless of working conditions. The individual social insurance contribution also includes the 2% transferred to private pension funds.
For the unemployment budget, the government decided both employees and employers will contribute 0.5%.
