Laszlo Borbely said the Union will not back a potential government formed of social democrats or democrat liberals.
“Unless we manage to become partners, which is three parties as equal partners, even if we’ve got different percentages, then we will obviously be in Opposition,” he said.
However, the matter will not be settled until after the talks between social democrats and democrat liberals, Laszlo Borbely mentioned.
Leaders of Romania’s leftist Social Democratic Party and the centrist Democrat Liberal Party met Tuesday evening for talks on forming a coalition government.
The meeting was still ongoing at presstime.
