Romanian Murder Suspect Explains Hitting The Victim

Two Romanian citizens, Georgeta Nichita and Andrei Gabriel Nichita, husband and wife, were questioned Saturday in Rome, after a man’s body was found in a suitcase. The body was found in an apartment in Roman neighborhood Aurelio. The victim is Giovanni Santini and apparently was the administrator of the building where he was found.

Authorities believe the motive for the murder could be the high debts the two Romanians owed the administrator for rent and maintenance.

Georgeta Nichita (aged 30) admitted she struck the administrator with a blunt object, but added he came on to her.

"He told me that if I can’t pay the debt I need to offer him something else, then he tried to kiss me. At that moment I struck him," Georgeta Nichita said.
