"Wise guys are still buying energy for $25 per kilowatt and resell it for $80 – $90 a kilowatt to household and corporate clients. The government did not intervene, as the interests of people who believe in nothing but money prevail over public interests," Basescu said.

Basescu added the government took no action in this situation, despite the fact that it was pressed, especially by the media, to do something. The president reminded he launched a debate a year ago on the issue of “wise guys” in the energy sector.
