Romanian National Lottery Revises Up ’09 Pft At RON216M

The national lottery Loteria Romana revised upwards its 2009 profit forecast at 216.5 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2132), from previously seen RON145.5 million, on higher revenues, according to the company's revised budget approved by the government.

Thus, the company's revenues are estimated to increase by RON143.3 million, at RON1.47 billion, mainly due to higher sales.

Other operating revenues are also seen higher, from RON6.2 million to RON12.3 million.

On the other hand, Loteria Romana's expenses will increase by RON72.3 million from the initial estimations, at RON1.25 billion. Its personnel expenses are seen at RON93.7 million, out of which RON67.1 million for salaries.

The company estimates the number of employees will be at 3,051 by yearend, compared with 3,187 initially estimated, but the average salary is seen higher.
