Romanian National Railroad Company Rents Out Train Station Spaces
Romanian national railroad company CFR SA intends to put up for rent commercial spaces in 12 train stations, including Bucharest North, at starting rents between 0.8 lei (EUR1 = RON4.2156) and RON500 per square meter, VAT excluded, per month, according to the company.

Thus, the CFR will organize Monday an auction to rent out the surfaces over intervals between one and three years.
The highest rent, RON500 /sqm/month, will be paid for the space within the Bucharest North station. The space spans over seven square meters and is meant for the placement of an advertising panel.
In the Bucharest East train station, there is a 430 sqm space, for material storage, with the starting rent in the auction set at RON10 /sqm/month, VAT excluded, while the Baneasa train station hosts a space of 1,680 sqm, used to unload fuel oil, with a starting rent of RON3 /sqm/month, VAT excluded.
With RON30 /sqm/month, investors can rent 20 sqm in the Videle station, to sell foods and beverages.
At Sinaia the starting rent is RON20 /sqm/month, VAT excluded, for a space of 3.6 sqm that can be used for the placement of a tourist information point. The same rent is also set for the Filipestii de Padure station, for a location spanning over 7.84 sqm, meant as a donut shop.
The cheapest rent is set for the Moara Vlasiei station, namely RON0.8 /sqm/month, VAT excluded, for the storage of cargo, the surface available reaching 2,500 sqm.
Other train stations where CFR SA intends to put up spaces for rent include Titu, Corlatesti, Varteju (with two spaces), Dambu and Zanoaga.
