Romanian Lignite Co SNLO May Get RON200M State Aid – Econ Min
Videanu reminded that SNLO would benefit from a compensation of the debts to the state budget with the sums it should receive from Romania’s state-owned nuclear activities company RAAN.
The minister had recently announced that the Economy Ministry would take all necessary steps so that local authorities which have thermal stations with debts to SNLO should get the subvention of 45%, so that the money would eventually go to the lignite supplier.
Videanu added that the situation of the pitcoal mining company CNH “is a little more delicate”.
Last week, Videanu said that authorities would have talks with the International Monetary Fund and the EC on granting state aids to wipe out the debts of CNH and SNLO, in view of their including into two energy entities.
