Romanian Opp Liberals Willing To Rule Country If Govt Falls – Leader

Romanian Liberal Party leader Crin Antonescu said liberals are willing to rule the country if the current Government is overthrown and no other party assumes such responsibility.

Antonescu said opposition liberals' main condition is to be allowed to apply their own government program, without any involvement of ruling democrat liberals.

The liberal leader highlighted the main priority of the country is to oust the current Government led by Prime Minister Emil Boc.

The Government will seek a confidence vote in Parliament to swiftly adopt an austerity plan that cuts wages, pensions and social welfare benefits and will face no-confidence motions promised by the opposition.
