Romanian Parliament Allows Ousted Govt To Draft ’10 Budget

Romanian Social Democratic Party vice-president Dan Nica said Tuesday evening the social democrats, after consulting the liberals and Hungarian minority party UDMR, decided to propose the enactment of a Parliament Decision that would allow the ousted government to propose a draft budget for 2010.

Nica said this decision was made after the PSD leaders consulted and talked with the PNL and UDMR leaders.

The PSD official added a Parliament Decision is the only legal way in which the ousted government could issue a draft budget.

The enactment of a draft budget for 2010 is one of the conditions included in the agreement concluded with the IMF.
