The report warns that, in general, all Moldovan folk songs are essentially subversive, “created in Romania, containing code messages" and induce feelings of hatred toward Russians, unionism, xenophobia, and lack of confidence in Moldova’s efforts to become a prospering European state.

The report’s authors conclude with a recommendation that the Moldovan Intelligence service should lend a more critical ear to the folk songs aired on some radio and TV stations.
