Romanian PM Meets Democrat Liberal MPs To Analyze Govt’s Activity Wednesday

The Romanian Democratic Liberal Party’s Standing Office decided Monday that democrat liberal lawmakers will meet with the leaders of the party on Wednesday, when Prime Minister Emil Boc will present a report assessing the activity of the Government and its ministers.

Boc said Monday evening that he will hold talks with ministers on the situation depicted by the evaluation report, adding it is the prime minister's prerogative to replace any minister after consultations with the president.

Basescu said early August on public television that parliamentary groups would analyze the Government's activity on September 1.

"The Government's activity will be analyzed on September 1. I've promised the ruling party I'd do that and I will," the head of state said at the time.
