Romanian PM Says Will Skip Vacation This Year To Work On Restarting Country’s Economy

"This year, I’ll pass. We need to keep things moving in the country, to secure job. My daughters will get upset, my wife too probably, but I will try and explain that this year will be difficult but next year, when things will be looking up for everyone, we can take extra vacation,” Boc said.

Asked by reporters whether he’s saving money by not going on vacation, the prime minister said he has no idea how much he would save, but the country needs a lot of work to get the economy on the road to recovery.

A survey released Friday by research company GfK Romania showed that 60% of Romanians don’t plan to go on vacation this year.
