Boc went to the Parliament Palace Wednesday morning, where he had a talk with Chamber of Deputies speaker Roberta Anastastase, and half an hour later he decided to take the subway to get to the government’s headquarters.
"I wanted to see people’s everyday lives. I was in Parliament for a conference and then decided to take the subway to the government,” Boc told MEDIAFAX, adding he occasionally uses public transportation.
The Romanian prime minister’s fellow subway passengers were reticent at first and didn’t approach him, but at the last stop, a few young people got off the train with him and asked to have their picture taken with the head of government. One of them also asked for Boc’s e-mail address, saying he wants to send him a message.
