Tariceanu admired the car model Citroen 2CV, which was very famous in the 1950s and 1960s.

Later on, he met with representatives of carmaker Dacia and talked about the revamped Logan MCV.

"I came here to see the cars presented in the show and to have official and unofficial meetings focusing on the reconstruction of an industrial foundation for the economy, as well as on research and design. Romania has more than a car assembly industry; it has an entire line, from design of cars to car making. We can say we are 100% carmakers,” Tariceanu told MEDIAFAX.

He avoided giving a clear answer whether the groups PSA and Mitsubishi will invest in Romania, as past information signaled.

"I will have unofficial talks here, at the Paris Auto Show. I have some information, which I cannot make public,” Tariceanu said.

According to his wealth statement, Tariceanu owns three Citroen model cars, manufactured in 1955, 1967 and 1986, one Fiat, produced in 1966, and one Aro car. In July, he said he bought in France one convertible Triumph, model 1968, with two doors and two seats.

Tariceanu owns the company ATS Automotive Trading Services, which imported Citroen cars until the French carmaker opened its local subsidiary on July 1, 2007.
