He added that, at his request, all services mentioned checked the legality of this contract and reported there are no suspicions regarding the contract.
Romanian president Traian Basescu Thursday said he will notify the state’s institutions for a very serious analysis regarding cars and equipment contracted by the Ministry of Interior and regarding the first stage of obtaining the objectives assumed so that Romania may enter the Schengen space.
Basescu said the Ministry signed contracts for 392 Dacia Logan cars at the price of EUR11,700 per car, and for each one EUR40,000 worth of equipment was contracted, more than three times the value of the car, while the equipment contracted for BMW cars cost EUR60,000 for each car.
