Romanian Predeal City Hall To Invest RON17M In Ski Slopes
The mayoralty of Predeal town, also a famed ski resort in Romanian central county of Brasov, plans to assign over 17 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2284), VAT not included, for landscaping works on ski slopes to meet international standards needed to organize the 2013 Olympic Festival for European Youth.

Radu Constantin, inspector with Predeal mayoralty, said the project is estimated at RON17.09 million, VAT not included, and works are due in two years.
The mayoralty will set up an auction in July to select the company that will carry out the project.
Interested investors have until July 13 to submit bids and they must also submit a participation guarantee of RON300,000 and a guarantee of good execution representing 7% of the value of contract, according to the announcement made by Predeal mayoralty.
Furthermore, all companies must certify they have obtained profit over the past three years and a turnover of minimum RON35 million.
Funds for the project will be mainly covered from the local budget, as well as the budget of the country’s Tourism Ministry.
The winter edition of the 2013 Olympic Festival for European Youth, which takes place once every two years, will be organized during February 16 – 23, 2013, in Prahova Valley and in the Brasov – Rasnov area.
Authorities estimate the festival will cost EUR83 million.
