Romanian Pres Holds No Info About CIA Prisoner Site At Kogalniceanu Base

Romanian president Traian Basescu said on Sunday in Covasna, central Romania, that he has no knowledge of alleged prisoner exchange at Mihail Kogalniceanu airbase.

According to the president, as soon as question marks appeared regarding the subject of terror suspects held at the base, the authorities allowed access at Kogalniceanu base to all journalists and interested parties.

A high rank Romanian official, who wished to remain anonymous, declared that he witnessed a suspicious “parcel exchange” at Mihail Kogalniceanu airbase, according to the Washington Post.

According to the official, three times in 2004 and twice in 2005 large, mysterious parcels were exchanged that looked like bundled-up terror suspects.
