Romanian Anticorruption Prosecutors Get RON5,500-9,500 Pay

The National Anticorruption Department issued this information as reply to statements made within televised shows, according to which the salaries of anticorruption prosecutors would reach a level of RON20,000.

 

"For the correct information of the public opinion, we state the net salary (including bonuses), of civil prosecutors within the National Anticorruption Department varies between RON5,660 and RON9,396, and it is identical with the salaries of civil prosecutors within the High Court of Justice. The net salary of military prosecutors within the Department varies between RON8,946 and RON12,508, with the difference resulting from the military bonuses collected. These salaries are not higher than those of military prosecutors within the High Court of Justice," said a press release issued by the institution.

 

The quoted source added the 50% bonus for nervous strain is not collected by civil or military prosecutors within the National Anticorruption Department.
