Romanian President Asks Parliament To Reexamine Law On Public Utilities
Romanian President Traian Basescu has sent back to Parliament for reexamination a law allowing public utility regulator ANRSC to hold 7% of sums recovered through writs of execution, checkups or insolvency procedures to grant incentives to ANRSC staff, the Presidency said in a press release Monday.

Basescu said in his reexamination request that, under the new law, the public utility regulator may use 7% of sums recovered based on writs of execution and other procedures to grant incentives to its employees.
The head of state demanded the elimination of the provision, arguing it goes against the status of a public authority.
