Romanian President Basescu Voted For Both Continuity, Change
Asked what he expects of the election, the president said he hopes the uninominal voting system will reinstate lawmakers who did their job well over the past mandate and will bring a new, younger generation of politicians.
“We need the experience of those who have served in parliament, and the courage and cleanness of a younger generation,” the president said.
