The two letters will be read out in plenary, said Chamber of Deputies secretary general Dumitru Pardau.

Romania’s Supreme Defense Council on March 22 decided the country will send 66 gendarmes to Afghanistan, part of the NATO mission, to help train Afghan riot police.

The council also decided the country will participate in enforcing an embargo against the sale of weapons to Libya with one frigate and two staff officers, meaning a total of 207 troops. The Regele Ferdinand frigate’s mission in the Mediterranean will take three months.
