"I’m glad we’ve managed to collect over 200,000 valid signatures,” she said.

 

She added she will submit a list of about 220,000 signatures to a court, to validate her candidacy.

 

Elena Basescu also said that as soon as the election campaign kick off, she will launch a website and open a bank account and make public all the financial resources behind her campaign, according to the law.
