„The contract is not secret,” Berceanu said Tuesday evening on B1 TV.

The minister said Romanian authorities have sent a letter to the French constructor, asking for details of the contract the latter does not want to make public due to competition issues. The respective details will be included in an annex and the contract will be available online.

Berceanu, French construction group Vinci and Greek construction company Aktor signed a 30-year lease-based construction contract for the Comarnic-Brasov highway segment.

Construction works on the 55-kilometer highway segment must be finished until January 2014 and will cost Romania EUR4.8 billion.
