Romanian President To Meet With EU High Representative For Foreign Affairs

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will meet on Friday with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, at the Presidential Palace in Bucharest.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 14.00 local time.

Also on Friday, the Romanian President is scheduled to meet with the United Kingdom’s Foreign Affairs Minister Jeremy Hunt, with the meeting due to begin at 12.00 local time.

Both officials are currently present in Bucharest for an informal meeting, known traditionally as the Gymnich meeting, held at the beginning of each rotating EU Council presidency term.

Among the meeting’s subject are the Venezuelan political crisis, the situation in Syria and EU-China relations.
