Dacia will also launch this year in Europe the LPG-driven Sandero, Logan Sedan and Logan MCV.
Silviu Sepciu, head of the company’s PR department, declined to provide further details on the exact date for the launch of the 1.2-liter Logan Sandero model on the Romanian market.
The Sandero and Logan models equipped with 1.2-liter engines will be available in Europe this year, but no thorough calendar for each country has been set yet.
Moreover, the LPG-driven Sandero and Logan models equipped with 1-4 liter engines, as well as the LPG-driven Logan MCV equipped with 1.6-liter engine, will be launched in Europe this year, a press release of Renault read.
Beside the LPG-driven Sandero equipped with 1.4-liter engine, the other two models are already available on the Romanian market.
Sepciu did not say the exact date for the launch of a LPG-driven Sandero, but stressed this variant is likely first on the markets with high demand for LPG-driven vehicles, such as Italy, and a later date in Romania.
Renault previously announced a 1.6-liter E85 bio-ethanol engine for the Dacia Sandero model.
Renault also said that in certain countries, namely, France, Sweden and the Czech Republic, the bio-ethanol fuel is sold at lower prices and bio-ethanol powered vehicles benefit from various fiscal incentives.
The 1.6-liter E85 engine emits 130 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer, in mixed regime (inside and outside town), the press release also read.
The 1.2 liter-engine available for the Sandero and Logan models emits 139 grams of carbon dioxide per 100 kilometers in mixed regime.
Periodical overhauls for the Dacia models equipped with 1.2-liter engines will be executed after 30,000 kilometers or every two years, but overhauling periods may differ from one country to another, depending on weather conditions, usage and dust level.
