Union vice-president Valeriu Pricina told MEDIAFAX Thursday the criminal complaints will be submitted with the General Prosecution Office. Unionists accuse authorities of breaching the legislation and discarding court orders.
Unionists challenge the Government's official standpoint according to which court rulings suspending a Government decision on recalculating military staff pensions can be applied only to those who contested the decision.
Pricina said the military staff union will also sue military centers chiefs who issued the documents based on which pensions were recalculated, arguing they were not authorized to issue those documents.
Pricina said the union received "tons" of notifications from retired military staff who complain their pensions were drastically reduced.
The Romanian High Court of Justice on Friday evening ruled to suspend the application of a Government decision on recalculating the pensions of military staff, police officers and public servants with special status, who work in penitentiary administration.
The High Court of Justice's decision is definitive and upholds a decision ruled by the Cluj Court of Appeals on September 28, 2010.
The Cluj Court of Appeals' ruling was challenged by the Government at the High Court.
Requests to have the Government decision suspended were also submitted with the Bucharest Court of Appeals, which ruled in favor of the requests on December 6, 2010.
Defense Ministry Financial Department chief Mariana Lupu said Wednesday the court rulings suspending the Government decision on recalculating military staff pensions will apply only to those who challenged the decision.
