"The Presidential Administration is surprisingly reserved with respect to the severe accusations of Moldovan authorities toward Romania regarding Romania’s alleged involvement in Moldova’s internal affairs. Considering these severe and totally ungrounded accusations, Basescu kept silent and keeps doing that, although the Constitution obliges him, as representative of the Romanian people, to make a stand in this respect," Vosganian told a press conference.

Vosganian stressed that this is a major issue and Basescu, as head of state, must first consider the needs of his people and do something about this situation, which might throw Romania into an unprecedented diplomatic conflict," Vosganian concluded.
