Romania 6-Mo Econ Outlook Brightens Up In February – Survey

Economic expectations for Romania rose 3.6 points to 33.4 points in February, from 29.8 points in the previous month, ZEW said in its latest monthly survey on the Central and Eastern Europe region.

Although the assessment of the current economic situation in Romania remains in negative territory, the indicator showed a significant improvement, increasing to minus 37.8 points, from minus 50 points in January.

In Central and Eastern Europe, economic expectations on a six-month horizon increased by 8.3 points to 24.5 points in February.

ZEW-Erste Group Bank’s monthly survey includes responses from analysts in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
