The car pollution tax aims to reduce polluting emission and to prevent climate changes.
"It is very interesting that through this motion, the Senate authorizes the Government to adopt normative acts on preventing climate changes, which are mainly connected to carbon emission. These emissions are fueled, among others, by the car traffic. This clearly means the Senate authorizes us to draft a car pollution tax law meant to prevent carbon emission hike and climate changes," Vosganian said.
The Senate approved Tuesday the simple motion "Stop to living standard degradation! Stop to irresponsibility in energy sector!," with 74 votes pro and 33 cons.
