Romanian Snail Breeders Mull Opening Processing Unit

Escar Prod, based in Brasov county, central Romania, plans to get a EUR1.3 million loan from Millennium Bank Brasov, of which it plans to invest EUR1.1 million.

 

Company associates are to discuss the matter Saturday, Nov. 24.

 

"If this loan is granted, we should start production mid-December,” Macris said.

 

Escar Prod was founded in 2005 and includes 220 snail breeders in 29 counties.
