Vasilescu told a news conference Thursday that the opposition party's expert committees have completed the motion, which will be submitted to Parliament on May 17, the day when Romania "commemorates four months, three weeks and two days since the investiture of the current Cabinet".
The motion criticizes the current state of the Romanian economy.
The final version of the text will be agreed upon Monday by the party's national standing office.
On April 20, liberal leader Crin Antonescu and social democrat head Victor Ponta agreed to file a no-confidence motion against Romania's ruling power. The executive president of Romania's Hungarian minority party Kelemen Hunor said Thursday that his faction will not endorse the motion.
