Moreover, the certificate is no longer necessary in case of merger, separation or reorganization between two or several legal entities, or when the user takes over the leasing contract.
Although the certificate of authenticity is no longer mandatory in the aforementioned cases, RAR recommends, at the initiative of the police, that the new car owner request the certificate of authenticity to make sure that the vehicle did not undergo unauthorized interventions.
The release of the authenticity certificate costs 90 lei (EUR=-RON3.8391), but the price may differ from one case to another, depending on the specifications and category of the vehicle.
