The state will guarantee the loans up to EUR60,000 for old buildings or ones that are under construction and up to EUR70,000 in the case of buildings on which work has not begun.
Buyers organized into associations of at least seven people will each benefit from a EUR75,000 guarantee, also for new homes.
The amendments were decided in the Government's meeting on Wednesday.
Until now, bank loans taken out through this program for buildings irrespective of when they were built had been guaranteed by the state up to EUR60,000.
