Udrea added the employees of the ministry were not forbidden to participate in the inquiries.

Asked whether she will appear before the inquiry committee on September 1, Udrea said she will attend the inquiries only if those accused of abuse of office and conspiracy against the tourism minister leave the committee.

Udrea said this conflict affects the activity in the tourism sector that “had begun to function properly”

Udrea is expected to appear before the parliamentary committee investigating the public expenses made by the Tourism Ministry, on September 1, according to a decision of the members of the committee.

The tourism minister said Monday neither she nor any official in the ministry will participate in the inquiry sessions of the parliamentary committee investigating Udrea case.
