Orban said the decision to hear Udrea next week was made unanimously in the committee meeting. He added he publicly asks Udrea to submit all official documents requested by the committee.
Orban added the committee also decided to hear the president of the public procurement regulator on August 18.
According to the official, this week the committee will hear two directors within the Ministry of Tourism, the ministry’s secretary general and a secretary of state.
The meeting held Wednesday unfolded behind closed doors and the media was kept outside.
The Parliament investigation committee in Udrea’s case was created in July at the proposition of the liberals and social democrats.
Tourism minister Elena Udrea said one week ago that she will attend the committee’s meetings if the MPs need further information beyond the data posted on the ministry’s website.
