“We urge the Georgian and Russian governments to cease fire and start negotiations to solve this conflict and the issues that led to its start,” Cartel Alfa said in a statement.
The Romanian trade union joined the International Trade Union Confederation in expressing their support for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Caucasus.
Russian forces have returned to the Georgian port of Poti and raised troop numbers in Gori despite a ceasefire, a spokeswoman for Georgia's foreign ministry said Thursday, quoted by AFP.
