Reasons for the dismissal included deficiencies in communication between the company and the Ministry, as well as the fact that Grecu allowed 25 CNADNR directors to go to Amsterdam, on a trip sponsored by the company Plastidrum, which has several contracts concluded with CNADNR.
According to Romanian daily Cotidianul, several CNADNR officials went to Amsterdam, between April 1 and 4, in a trip sponsored by the company Plastidrum, which has been holding monopoly in road marking works for the past eight years.
Orban said the Ministry initiated an investigation on the lawfulness of payments towards American company Bechtel for works unfolded on the Brasov- Bors highway.
"The report is not yet complete, it is currently undergoing completion and it will be ready in two-three weeks, at most one month," Orban said.
The leadership of CNADNR was taken over by the deputy director in charge with projects within the company, Dorin Debucean.
Grecu, former adviser to prime minister Calin Tariceanu, took the position of general director of CNADNR starting with April 12, 2007.
