Romanian TV Star Mihaela Radulescu Files Criminal Complaint Against Ex Over Alimony

Romanian TV star Mihaela Radulescu filed a criminal complaint against her former husband Elan Schwartzenberg, whom she accuses of not having paid alimony for two months in a row.

The complaint was filed on March 23 at the Buftea Prosecutors’ Office, office spokeswoman Minodora Basma said.

The Romanian Criminal Code refusal to pay court-settled alimony for two months in a row is punishable by fine or prison sentence of one to three years.

On the other hand, Schwartzenberg filed a lawsuit to gain custody of his son, whom the court placed in the care of his famous mother after the divorce. The next term in the custody trial is April 8.

Earlier this month, Radulescu urged authorities, including child protection services, to take action regarding the conflict she has with her former husband, who she claims threatened her. The TV star also said her ex threatened to take her child away from her and slip drugs into her purse to have her arrested.

The couple married in 2004, a few months before their son was born, and divorced in October 2008.
