A press release issued by the station reads that Teo’s joining the Prima team will bring “added value” to the station.
“We are proud to have her join us and we welcome Teo in the Prima team,” the release reads. Teo refused to disclose the financial offer she received from the station but stated it was far less than the offer she had received from the Realitatea-Catavencu group.
Teo decided to sign a contract with Prima one year after she had signed with the Realitatea-Catavencu group, as manager of Romantica TV station. Teo gave the position up in only a couple of months after she was assigned the job.
Prima TV is held starting 2005 by pan-European group SBS Broadcasting, that is also present in Holland, the Scandinavian countries and Eastern Europe.
Mid June 2007, German group ProSiebenSat.1 announced it would buy SBS Broadcasting for EUR3.5 billion.
