Romania July Inflation Rate Highest In EU27
Eurostat’s preliminary estimates indicated Romania’s July annual inflation stood at 5%, while Hungary and Poland came in next with annual rates of 4.9% and 4.5%, respectively.
In the EU27 bloc, the annual inflation rate in July was of 0.2%, while the monthly inflation was -0.5%.
As to 12-month averages up to July 2009, Romania reported the third highest rate, of 6.6%.
Latvia and Lithuania posted the first two highest averages, of 8.8% and 7.8%, respectively.
