Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of authentic experiences in a unique setting, designed to celebrate the gastronomic and cultural richness of the region. Wine lovers will be able to explore refined selections offered by local producers, participating in exclusive wine pairing sessions alongside gourmet dishes prepared by renowned chefs, including those awarded Michelin stars.
Traditional Transylvanian products & crafts
The atmosphere will be complemented by workshops dedicated to traditional Transylvanian crafts, where visitors will be able to discover the secrets of pottery, weaving and other folk arts. In addition, the stands of small producers will offer a variety of delicacies: matured cheeses, artisanal smoked products, traditional desserts and other Hungarian, Csangă, Romanian and Szekler specialties.
Those who want an exclusive experience will be able to access the VIP area, arranged at 3 meters high, which has a spectacular view of the salt pan. Here, guests will be pampered with their own bar and personalized service, having the opportunity to taste special menus designed by top chefs. This combination of fine dining, tradition and refinement promises to transform every moment spent at the festival into an unforgettable memory.
Through the strategic partnership with the Pro Economica Foundation, the festival promotes traditional Transylvanian products and supports the development of a sustainable local market.
“This partnership aims to highlight the gastronomic wealth of the region and position Transylvania on the international map of gourmet destinations. Our goal is to transform this event into an annual landmark, capable of attracting tourists from all over the world and contributing to the development of gastronomic tourism in Romania,” said Monika Kozma, president of the foundation.
“Through Taste of Transylvania Underground, we aim to demonstrate that Transylvania can become a premium destination for gastronomy lovers, combining local traditions with high-class fine dining. It is not just about organizing a gastronomic festival, but about creating an ecosystem that supports the local economy and the authentic values of the region,” said Trucza Adorján, the founder of the festival.
The festival organizers estimate between 1,500 and 2,500 participants per day.
