Rompetrol CEO Is Against Road Tax Inclusion In Fuel Price

Romanian oil tycoon Dinu Patriciu, CEO of the country’s second-largest oil company, Rompetrol Group NV, said Wednesday that he is against introducing the road tax in the fuel price.

Road transporters released a protocol with 11 claims, including the elimination of the local road tax, the trucks’ traffic restrictions, or the car tax for Euro 4 and Euro 5 vehicles.

The head of the Federation of Romanian Transport Operators Augustin Hagiu said early April that officials with the Ministry of Economy and Finance would agree to eliminate the road tax and include it in the fuel prices.
