“The Government does not want to nationalize banks, this is not the right direction. Still, the Government will have a very serious analysis with the central bank and the management of banks in Romania, so that the financing lines would be maintained. Our wish is that banks that participated in the privatization process in Romania, and have obligations towards everything the Romanian state represents, should keep them,” Boc said.

Attending the launch of the report of the Romanian Academic Society "Romania 2009, economic crisis and rule of law", the Prime Minister said the Government, the central bank and the banks would find solutions in this respect.

Boc stated they have already scheduled a series of meetings for talks on the issue this week.
